For
my research project I am designing an interdisciplinary high school curriculum
for The Sandman graphic novel series. This week I finished a lesson plan about
Shakespeare and The Sandman graphic novels. The lesson asks students to
investigate the the nature of authorship by critiquing the value placed on
different literature and by writing fanfiction as a way of reclaiming ownership
over the stories of today. Today I am in the midst of researching the
mythical "Fates" as part of a lesson pairing community taught
knitting and mythology.
